When determining your strategy to relocate to the US, you must decide whether you wish to enter as a non-immigrant or as an immigrant. Individuals wishing to enter the United States for a temporary period of time and for a limited purpose are considered non-immigrants under the law.

Those who wish to remain in the U.S. permanently and intend to make the U.S. their primary physical domicile are considered immigrants. Unlike other countries which operate point systems, the US has a more subjective immigration process which means successful applications need to be professionally-prepared and managed.

There are immigration streams based upon employment offers or family sponsorship. The US immigration system also has several business immigration categories which accept applicatons from varying levels of investors and entrepreneurs. Nexus Advisory's in-house immigration advisors are members of the American Immigration Lawyers Association as well as the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants and are authorized to practice immigration law and represent clients in immigration proceedings.
