Canadian Business Immigration Visas

We work with international business people preparing visa cases so that a visa officer can clearly understand how the business works, determine its profitability, and see why it qualifies for Investor Immigration.

There are three main streams of federal business immigration: investors, entrepreneurs, and self-employed persons.

To qualify as an Investor, applicants destined for any province in Canada other than the Province of Québec must meet three conditions:

• They must have “Business Experience”;
• They must have a legally obtained net worth of $800,000 CAD; and
• They must invest $400,000 without interest for 5 years into the Federal Immigrant Investor program.

(We work with banks that will lend you monies to invest in the fund, so that you just need a down-payment of about $130,000 CAD.).

To qualify as an Entrepreneur, you must show that:

• Have “Business Experience”;
• Have a legally earned net worth of $300,000 CAD; and
• Agree in writing that you will meet certain conditions within three years of arrival.

A Self Employed person is an immigrant who intends and has the ability to be self employed in Canada, in cultural activities, athletics, or in managing a farm. If you have participated at a world class level in your field, you don’t have to have been self employed before coming to Canada.

It is similar to the Entrepreneur category except that:
• No investment is required;
• No minimum net worth is required;
• No employees are necessary;
• The visa is unconditional, rather than conditional.
